“FREEBOOTERS FESTIVAL”

PIRATE SHIPPE THIS EVENING The colourful spirit of piracy will be apparent at Ye Olde Pirate Shippe Cabaret, Milford, this evening, when a ‘“Freebooters Festival” will be held. Dancing will be on both decks of the Pirate Shippe until a late hour, and a feature of the evening will be a “raid” on the dancers by pirates looking for booty. Another item will be an exhibition of the sailor’s hornpipe by Miss Irene Long. All the latest and brightest jazz music will be featured by Ye Versatile Pirates Orchestra.

For the convenience of Auckland dancers the management has arranged a special through bus, which - leaves the Ferry Buildings at 8.10 p.m. direct for the Shippe. returning after the last dance.
