MID-WEEK BOWLING
BUILDERS BEAT MERCHANTS The Auckland merchants and master builders had a friendly tussle on the bowling green yesterday, the fourth of a series of yearly contests between the two bodies. The builders won by 40 points in a six teams rink match.
At the finish of the matches a miniature ladder (presented by the Wilson Portland Cement Company), which bears inscribed silver plates for tho names of the winners, was presented by Mr. A. G. Graham, on behalf of the merchants, to Mr. N. Col. president of the Builders’ Association. The scores were (merchants’ names first): — , Braim, Ross, Bray, Newbegm 10, v. Hill, S. White, G.
