LEAGUE ON THE AIR

TEST FROM GENEVA FIRST BROADCAST ON FRIDAY Early on Friday morning Aucklanders will be able to listen-in for half an hour to the deliberations of the League of Nations. This will be possible through a test transmission from the League’s new short-wave station, PCL, at Geneva. Similar tests will be heard here on March 22 and 28. These transmissions have been arranged specially for Australia and New Zealand. They are all to begin at 1 hours, Greenwich Mean Time, corresponding to 2 a.m., for the first transmission, and 1.30 a.m. for the second two. when standard time will again be in force in the Dominion. The tests will continue for half an hour on a wave-length of 18.4 metres. Listeners in the Dominion are asked to send reports of their reception to the League at Geneva.
