In tact, the only thing that could mar the satherinwould be the frowning attentions of Jupiter Fluvius. However, it would appear as if the Avondale Club had sufficient rain and mud for its last spring meeting to warrant its being I favoured with fine weather conditions I for its two fixtures annually f or ti)a i next decade or two.

For the autumn meeting on April 6 and 10 the Avondale Jockey Club has ! drawn up an attractive bill of fare with £2,T00 in stakes on the opening day and 12 2,000 on the concluding dav making a total of £4.700. an amount well in excess of the compulsory total necessary when computed on totalisa. tor returns. Aussie and Paganelli Again? It is not so very many years siiim the Avondale Jockey Club inaugurated its sprint classic, the All Aged Stal es which is to be run this season on ths opening day. Aussie, last year's win ner. will again be on hand, as will also Paganelli, all going well. Both these brilliant sprinters will be mulcted in the full 101 b penalty, and if they EO to the post their meeting will excite the keenest interest. Others still eligible for the All Aged Stakes are noted performers like The Hawk, Mitlira. Commendation. Te \tiawa, Goblin Market, Gascony, Prfnce Humphrey, Reremoana, Cfimabue The Begum. A war ere. White Wings’ Toxeuma and Joy King, while brilliant two-year-olds in the race include Supremacy. Ceremony, Eaglet, Polyxena Gay Ballerina and Hunting Day.
