ASSURED FOR PAEROA FINE ACCEPTANCE LIST FOR OHINEMURI The Ohinemuri Jockey Club has every reason to be satisfied with the response made by owners when the acceptances were called over last night for the opening day of its annual fixture at Paeroa on Saturday and Alonday next. There are eight left in the Cup, and thirteen in the sprint, so the “double” should furnish two most interesting contests. The middle distance open event has attracted another eight-horse field, while the hack races as usual have drawn large acceptances. A pleasing feature of the acceptances, however, is the number paid up for in the two jumping events. There are 14 in the Hurdles and 15 in the Steeplechase, so that there promises to be at least two spectacular contests on the bill of fare. With the course in ideal order, it only requires fine weather to enable the Ohinemuri Jockey Club to register a record meeting. The acceptances are as follow: HANDICAP HURDLES Of £200; li miles
