WORLD’S BIGGEST SHARK

CAPTURED AT WHANGAROA MONSTER WEIGHS 915L8. (Special to THE SUN) WHANGAROA, To-day. A world’s record thresher shark weighing 9151 b was caught at Wliangaroa yesterday by Mr. Stanley Ellis, of Hamilton, fishing from the launch Reelemin. The fish was hooked close in-shore and towed the launch eight miles out to sea before it could be brought alongside and harpooned. The fight lasted 4i hours. The previous world’s record was held by Mr. H. White-Wickham .of London, who. when fishing from Whangaroa, landed a thresher weighing §32lb.
