“FREEBOOTERS FESTIVAL"

PIRATE SHIPPE TO-MORROW The colourful spirit of piracy and freebooters will be developed to the full at Ye Olde Pirate Shippe Cabaret. Milford, to-morrow evening. A monster “Freebooters’ Festival” will be held, and a feature of the evening will be the “raid” by a gang of notorious pirates looking for booty. Dancing will be enjoyed on both decks to music by Ye Versatile Pirate Band, which features all the latest and brightest music. During the evening Miss Irene Long will be seen in a rollicking sailor’s hornpipe. For the convenience of Auckland dancers a special through bus leaves the Ferry Buildings direct for the Shippe, returning after the last dance.
