VARSITY BOAT RACE

CONTEST ON MARCH 23 (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) LONDON, Saturday. The Oxford and Cambrfdge University boat-race crews to-day commenced at Putney the final stages of their training. The race will be held on March 23. Never has the probable result been more open. The weight of the Oxford crew averages 12st 41b, and that of Cambridge. 12st 101 b.
