Mr. S. Savage. Commissioner of the High Court and Registrar of the Native Land Court in the Cook Islands, reached Auckland on Saturday by the Maui Pomare.
Mr. G. McNamara, secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, will arrive in Auckland to-morrow and will leave later by the Aorangi for the United States and England.
Mr. F. W. Furkert, Engineer-in - Chief, Public Works Department, arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington to investigate the bursting of the Mount Eden reservoir.
Mr. C. A. Berendsen, of th* Department of Internal Affairs, who Investigated the trouble on the Maui Pomare on Saturday, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. J. P. M. Box. Assistant-Commis-sioner at Niue Island, arrived in Auckland by the Maui Pomare on Saturday in company with Mrs. Box and their children.
Mr. J. W. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna. and Mr. F. A. Jones, Mayor of Darg&vtlle. who have been attending the Municipal Conference in Wanganui, arrived back in Auckland yesterday.
