PIRATE SHIPPE TO BE “RAIDED”

FESTIVAL ON WEDNESDAY Something entirely new in the wav of cabaret entertainment will be presented at Ye Olde Pirate Shippe, Milford, on Wednesday evening. This will be a “Freebooters’ Festival,” and during the evening the cabaret will be “raided” by a gang of pirates in search of booty. Another feature of the evening wdl be an exhibition of the sailors’ hornpipe bv Miss Irene Long. Music will be supplied by Yo Versatile Pirates’ Orchestra, which features all the latest jazz numbers. For the convenience of Auckland dancers a special through bus leaves the Ferry Buildings direct for the Shippe, returning after the last dance.
