BOY THIEVES CENSURED EMPTY HOUSES RAIDED Three youths appeared before Mr. F. M. Levien, S.M., at the Otahuhu Children’s Court this morning charged with stealing articles from the houses of residents of Otahuhu. Two were placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for two years and were ordered a thrashing, and one was committed to the care of the superintendent of the Child Welfare Department and ordered to receive a thrashTwo of the boys were jointly charged with, entering five dwellings and the others with entering four houses and removing sums of money and various articles from the dwellings. Sergeant Lambert, who prosecuted, said that the series of events took place during the past summer holidays. The magistrate, after censuring the boys for their action, imposed the penalties mentioned.
