MENTAL STATE NO EXCUSE Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. Leonard "Walter Corlett pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to six charges of false pretences, involving £39 2s. The chief-detective said that the man was not sound mentally. He had a long list of convictions for fraud and false pretences. He was sentenced to six months with hard labour, to be followed by two years of reformative detention.
