Mr. A G. Pookes. of the Auckland hranch of the Bank of Australasia, has left for a holiday in Christchurch and Wellington.
Mr. Justice Kennedy will leave by the Limited this evening for Wellington to take part in the sittings of the Court of Appeal.
Mr. J. P. Mackley, locomotive engineer for the North Island railways, left for Wellington by the second express last evening.
The Earl and Countess of Orford, who are at present living at Manurewa, have been elected to membership of the Pakuranga Hunt Club.
Mr. Robert McKinnon, who has been appointed New Zealand examiner of marine engineers, sailed from England by the Kangitiki on Pebruury 15.
•rite Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, visited the site of the new mental hospital at Kingseat to-day. This evening he will leave for Wellington by the Limited.
Mr. L. Shepherd, of the Te Awamutu branch of the Union Bank of Australia for the past five years, has been transferred to the Hastings branch- He leaves Te Awamutu next week.
Messrs. J H. McCarroll. chairman, and T. C. French, secretary, of the Kaipara Hospital Board, will leave Dargaville to-night to attend the annual Hospital Boards’ Conference, which opens at Palmerston North on Monday.
Mr. Justice Blair will not leave Hamilton until next Wednesday, as he will be occupied with fixtures there. There will, therefore, be no sitting of the Supreme Court in Auckland until next Thursday at the earliest.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Moller and family, of Takapuna. leave to-morrow morning by car for Wellington, where Mr. Moller will be Dominion organiser of the United Party.
The Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, is making a tour of inspection of all the Wanganui schools today. with n view to finding out their requirements.
