MAIN HIGHWAY WORKERS telegram to minister About 140 men who have been working on the Auckland - Hclensvil'e main highway have received notice of dismissal. Some of them have made representations to Mr. M. J. Savage, M.f\. who flas sent the following telegram to the -minister of Public Works, the Hon. Hansom: ■Understand that about 140 men are dismissed from the Aucklandtielensville main highways. The. e £ re already over 900 men regisiv red j, unemployed at the Auckland labour Bureau. In view of considerable funds available for the Main . , Wa Board, will you try to avoid jading to the large number now out o£ work.”
