MURIWAI RACES

A.A.A’S INSTRUCTIONS LINCOLN ROAD CLOSED Motorists going to the Muriwai motor races will do well to follow the instructions issued by the Auckland Automobile Association, and to follow the A. A. A. signs. The instructions are:

Follow the concrete road to Henderson and then take the road to the left. This road passes through Swanson and does not cross the railway line. It keeps straight ahead until Waitakere station is reached. Here cross railway line just past the brick works and the station, and there is a well-defined road straight ahead. Further on, fork roads are met. Note the old sign and take the road to Taupaki. At Taupiki do not take the narrow metal road that joins the Lincoln Road, but turn to the left until Huapai is reached.

The second road over the railway line on the left leads to Muriwai, but has a long clay stretch, and if wet weather sets in should be avoided. The road via Waimauku to Muriwai is the next main road leading oft to the left, and is metalled and in good order.

The Lincoln Road route, which is under formation, will be closed from this evening until Sunday afternoon.
