MILITARY DEFAULTERS
FAILURE TO ATTEND PARADES i Twenty-four military defaulters came before Mr. K. C. Cutten. S.M., in the Police Court yesterday afternoon. Most of these were offenders who had failed to attend parades. Ronald H. Donnelly was fined £2 and costs for failing to notify change of address. A similar fine was also imposed on Richard A. Staunton for the same offence, and S. Higgins and L. M. J. Moore, who had both been before the court before, were fined £ 1 each with costs, for failing to attend parades. This offence cost F. Swanbeck £l. Others who failed to attend parades were; —A. Brown, T. O. Brady, A. F. Blackwell. C. M. Cowell, R. H. Donnelly, G. R. Funnell, E. E. Jordan, E. C. Laurie, T. A. Midwinter, W. D. McGregor, W. A. X. Stuck, H. N. Singleton, S. J. Walker and Edward H. Young. All were convicted and ordered to pay costs. ■ _ The same offence cost W. Elliott and G. P. Hoskins fines of 10s, with I costs 13s in each case, while S. W. Bainbridge, E. Brodie and J. A. W. I Oliver were each convicted and disI charged.
