NO RUBBISH DUMPS

SOUTH ROSKILL OBJECTS “The Mount Roskill Road Board rould not have properly considered the proposal to establish a rubbish dump in the South Roskill district. It does not realise the injury it is inflicting,” said Mr. .f. R. Robertson, chairman of the meeting of South Roskill ratepayers held at Waikowhai last evening. Mr. Geo. Winstone, senior, also objected to such an antiquated system and one so highly objectionable from a health point of view. The meeting decided to enter a protest against the proposal and to urge the road board to continue sending the household refuse to the Onehunga destructor.
