WAITEMATA RATEPAYERS’ DECISION A DECISIVE MAJORITY The proposal to introduce rating on unimproved values in the Waiternata County was defeated yesterday by a large majority. One small return is yet to come. The results at the poll were: Votes against unimproved rating 2,393 Votes for unimproved rating. . 1,251 Alajority against 1,142 Votes were recorded at 34 booths, and a record was established, 3,644 (48.7 per cent.) of the 7,400 ratepayers on the roll casting their votes.
