Woman Drowned In Pool Frances Caroline Lumsden. a single woman, of Feilding, aged 41, was drowned in a bathing pool in the Waingongoro Biver at Ohawe, seven 'miles 11 oin Hawera, about 0,30 last evening. A non-swimmer, after making a vairi attempt to rescue the woman, who was fully clothed, by throwing to her a log of wood, ran for assistance to the beach, a quarter of a mile away. Two swimmers went to her assistance, but found the woman was drowned.—P.A.
