QUEEN TO HOLD COURT

ALONE ON THE DAIS PRINCE IN USUAL PLACE (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. LONDON, Wednesday. It is officially stated that the Queen will hold the forthcoming Courts. This follows the official statement that the Prince of Wales will deputise the King. The Queen will only receive the curtsies of the debutantes. The Prince of Wales and the other royalties will occupy exactly the same positions in the Royal circle as they would were the King present. There will be only one throne, to which the Prince of Wales will escort his mother, who will take her place alone on the dais. The previous statement that the Prince of Wales would receive the curtsy was responsible for a big increase in the applications, particularly from the Dominions.

PROGRESS OF THE KING

British Official Wireless Reed. 11.5 a.m. RUGBY, Wednesday. The King again passed a good night. The weather is still too cold to permit of the King being taken into the grounds of Craigwell House, and this morning, owing to a cold wind, the windows of his room were not opened. The King had another good day. The weather was much warmer and the sun shone brilliantly.
