MIGRATION MISFITS
GAOL FOR STOWAWAYS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Three migration misfits were sentenced at East Ham to 21 days’ gaol for stowing away on the Ascanius at Fremantle. They told the stereotyped story that they could not get work and were starving. Dozens of distressed men were frequenting the piers in hopes of getting away, they said.
