NO LABOUR CANDIDATE

BAY OF ISLANDS SEAT (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The official Reform candidate for the Bay of Islands seat in the by-election will be Mr. Allen Bell, who represented that constituency in Parliament since 1922, Mr. E. A. James, Dominion organiser of the New Zealand Political Reform League announced to-day. It is against the general policy of the New Zealand Labour Party, said the secretary, Mr. W. Nash, to nominate a candidate when elections are upset through no fault of the candidates. As far as his party is concerned, only those who were previously in the field will stand again this time.
