38 IMMIGRANTS ASSISTED
Comparatively few immigrants were brought from England by the Mataroa this morning. In tbe third class, 103 pasengers came to New Zealand, and, of these, only 38 were assisted immigrants. A dismal prospect faced them when mist and rain blurred the shores of the Waitemata. this morning. Only 14 passengers travelled first class. The voyage was pleasantly uneventful and fine weather was experienced practically the whole journey.
