N.Z. HORSES AT RANDWICK
VERTIGERN’S GOOD TRACK WORK AUCKLANDERS MISS ENTRIES (United P.A. —By Telegraph—Copyrightj SYDNEY, Tuesday. Limerick, looking" as well as ever, and six other New Zealand horses, arrived at Sydney by the Marama today. All are ready for immediate preparation. Limerick’s trainer, Jones, said he is confident the horse’s race for the Hazlett Gold Cup did him good, but he would not claim that Limerick was as good as last year. Bagby intends to seek permission both to train and ride while he is here. If this is refused, he will merely obtain a licence to ride. Among the best performers at Randwick tracks to-day was the New Zealand horse Vertigern, which concluded his pace work over half a mile in 51J. The New Zealand trainer and owner, H. Rama, arrived by the Maunganui with Hoariri and Taneriri. He had intended to nominate them for the A.J.C. autumn carnival, but was too late, as entries closed yesterday.
