BANKRUPT’S MISSING CASH
DISCHARGE TO BE OPPOSED (From Our Own Correspondent) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday. A meeting of creditors in the estate of George Petersen, butcher, of Cambridge, was held to-day. Mr. J. H Robertson, official assignee, presided Bankrupt’s schedule showed due to unsecured creditors £389 Is 4d, and to secured creditors £1,416. The estimated value of securities was set down at £1,090. Total debts were shown as £715 Is 4d and credits £64 Is 9d. Bankrupt’s statement showed that he was in business from August to the end of November, 1928. As the result of a judgment for £253 debtor filed. The assignee said there w’ere several unsatisfactory features. It looked as though bankrupt had taken every possible step to get rid of his assets so as to deprive the principal creditor. The books produced were very satisfactory, and there was a possibility of i a leakage. There was some doubt as to where three sums totalling about | £SO had gone to. They had not been I posted in the books. A resolution was passed opposing bankrupt’s discharge until he presented a .satisfactory financial statement to the assignee.
