WOOL STORE ABLAZE
FIRE AT PATEA DAMAGE TOTALS £15,000 (Special to THE SUIT) WANGANUI, To-day. Damage estimated at £15,000 was done to the large wool store at the Patea Freezing Works by fire last evening. The flames were kept from the other departments only through strenuous efforts of the brigade. The alarm was given a few minutes after 10 o’clock and when the brigade arrived the roof of the store had already fallen in. Wool inside was all destroyed and serious damage to valuable machinery is feared. The building was built of concrete.
