Slightly firmer prices were offered for beef at the Franftton saleyards to-day. j The attendance of buyers was large and there was a heavy yarding of sheep, i which sold at late rates. Sheep: Fat wethers, 33s 6d to 35s ! bd; fat lambs, 20s 4d to 245. Pigs: j Heavy baconers, £3 11s to £3 18s; lighter j baconers and heavy porkers. £2 19s to i £3 Ss; lighter porkers. £1 ISs to £2 3s; ! store pigs, 12s to 15s.
