TAUMARUNUI STOCK SALE
(From Our Own Correspondent) TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. j There is a good yarding of sheep and cattle at the Taumarunui stock sale today. Pigs were not in much demand and a few slips sold at 7s. At the commencement ol the sale bidding was slack, but in most cases vendors’ reserves were accepted by buyers. There was a strong demand for young sheep and all lambs sold well. , The following prices were realised:— Fat ewes, 25s lOd; good-conditioned wethers, 2bs Sd to 28s; other wethers, 23s 6d; two-tooth wethers, 27s bd to 27s 9d; two-tooth ewes, 345; tour-year ewes, 23s 6d; two, four and six-tooth ewes, o2s; other good-mouth ewes, 22s to -Ss Jd; mixed sorts lambs, 16s to 17s bd; wether lambs, 15s; ewe lambs, 18s 7d to 19s 4d; small lambs, 13s; black face lambs, los to lbs; cull lambs, 10s 7d to 12s id.
