MILK FOR CHRISTCHURCH
MUNICIPAL SUPPLY WANTED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The Christchurch City Council decided to-night, on a party division, to seek legislation enabling it to undertake the sale and distribution of milk in the city, with power also to prohibit the sale and distribution of milk in the city by private individuals. An amendment to defer the matter for six months was defeated. The Labour Party on the council voted solidly for the motion, all the other councillors opposing it.
