LAURA LA PLANTE BUSY
SEVERAL NEW PICTURES “The 1 Taunted Lady.’* a recent novel by the popular authoress Adela Rogers St. John, has been purchased by the Universal Pictures Corporation for Laura La Plante. The adaptation is already being made bv Paul Schofield, although no information is available as to when Miss La Plante will commence work in it. She has just completed her greatest role, as Magnolia in “Show Boa t,” Edna Ferber’s popular novel, under the direction of Harry Pollard. She now faces three Universal Jewel pictures, the titles of which are “One Rainy Xight,” “That Blonde” and “Dangerous Dimples.” They will be made in the order named . It is likely .she will complete these three before starting “The Haunted Lady/'
