WHIPPET RACING
CARLAW PARK EVENTS Those who do not mind ‘'going to the dogs?’ will visit Carlaw Park on Saturday, when the Manawatu Whippet Racing Club will direct whippet races. Some of the world’s fastest whippets will race neck and neck both over hurdles and on the flat. Eight hurdle races have been arranged, and the same number on the flat.
