FIRE AT TAURANGA
HOUSE BADLY DAMAGED (From Our Own Correspondent J TAURANGA, Monday. At I p.m. to-day the fire brigade received a call to a fire at the residence owned and occupied by Mr. c. F. Washer, in Brown Street. There being no water main in the street, the brigade had to take an extra long lead, so was handicapped in fighting the fire. The building was practically gutted. Most of the furniture was saved. The insurance on the house was
