RAMS FOR WAIKATO
SHIPMENT FROM LYTTELTON The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, reports receiving a consignment of Southdown rarns from Lyttelton on Thursday last. The animals were shipped at Ly’ttelton, and transferred to a river steamer at the Waikato Heads. This is the lirst instance of livestock being brought direct to the Waikato by boat from the South Island. PRODUCE BOARD REPORT MARKET PRICES (From Our Own Correspondent) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The board has also received the fol--1 lowing advice from its agents in Canada:—Butter, New York, 50 cents (2s Id); Montreal, 42* cents (Is 9 3-Sd). Butter stocks in Montreal, 38,000 boxes (last year 65.500 boxes). The board has been advised with regard to f.o.b. sales of cheese that several factories have received offers of S:ld f.0.b.. for the balance of the season’s make. This is equivalent approximately to 95s a cwt, landed sale terms.
