DEVONPORT SWIMMING PROGRAMME SPRINTS AND DISTANCES Auckland’s best swimmers will be in action at the Tepid Baths to-morrow evening at the Devonport Club’s second carnival. In the half-mile Auckland cham pionship, David Lindsay, Ren de Xjoree Viv Cunnold, Gordon Bridson and Jack Enwright will be the chief con testants. Peggy Robertson, who can equal Eni Stockley’s New Zealand record for 100 yards, will be racing against Stockley in tiro event off the same mark. The two will be in the so yards women's scratch race, and other swimmers in this event are Dores Magee, Dorothy Grant and Marie Far quhar. Two unbeaten water polo teams. Mt. Eden and Waitemata, are to mevc in a special match, and there will be an exhibition by the Ponsonbv divinteam. a There is a long programme of other events.
