IN OUTER SUBURBS

LABOUR OFFICES WANTED Mr. TV. J. Jordan, M.p. for Manakau, has written to the Hon. W. A. Veiteh, -\1 in is ter of Labour, asking that offices of the Department of Labour be established at Onehunga and other suburban centres, so that unemployed men can make daily calls and avoid the expense of travelling to the city. At present registration can be made at outlying post offices, but the daily calls at the city offices of the Labour Department are necessary. Mr. Jordan attached a list of 44 names of reliable men seeking any class of employment, who have approached him at Onehunga during the last fortnight.
