AUTOMATICS THIS YEAR Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. A large deputation waited on the Postmaster-General, Hon. J. B. Donald, this morning, and pointed out the inadequacy of the telephone facilities in Christchurch, and urged the ealy completion of the new automatic exchange. The Minister said: “Christchurch will have the automatic system before the end of the year, and I hope to officiate at the change-over in September.”
