PRICE OF MILK

NO GENERAL INCREASE YET From the consumers' point of view, the good supply of milk this season has caused a saving over an unusually long period. Last year an increase in price was made in January, when sevenpence a quart was the retail price. Thus far, only one firm has raised its prices, and that by only a halfpenny. At the last two meetings of the Auckland Milk Vendors’ Association, the question has been discussed, but no general move has been agreed upon. After the next meeting something more definite may be decided.
