STAFF NOT TO BLAME
NURSE’S DEATH AT MENTAL HOME Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. Points raised at the inquest into tho death of Edith Mary Paynter, a nurse, who died at the Porirua Mental Hospital, were dealt with in a written judgment by Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M. He found that no negligence had been shown by Dr. Hayes, the medical superintendent, or members of the staff. The coroner had previously returned a verdict that death was due to cerebral haemorrhage.
