RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“THE CRASH” All the power, the pathos and the dramatic events that have made railroad building and railroad operati*jn in out of the way places one of the most colourful episodes in the progress of America, is vividly depicted in the picture at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. The picture is Milton Sills’s latest, •‘The Crash,” and it is by* far the best picture in which

this virile star has' appeared for a long time. As the “h a r d-b o i 1 e d” leader of a tough wrecking crew, stationed in the High Sierra Mountains, Sills lends a portrayal that compares with, the season’s best. The picture was adapted from Frank L. Packard’s magazine

story, “The 'Wrecking Boss,” and tells how the soubrette of a struggling burlesque troupe marries and tries to make a home for the boss of the wrecking crew. “Phyllis of the Follies.” which will also be shown, is a gay comedy of business men and chorus girls, starring Alice Day* and Matt Moore. Universal has purchased for the use |of Reginald Denny a John Clymer orij ginal story* under the title of “You’ve 1 Got to Fight.”
