STRICKEN STEAMER

ARAFURA AGAIN IN PERIL TUG IS DISABLED NOW SYDNEY, Friday. The agents have received a wireless message from the Arafura, which was disabled in a storm, saying that her progress has been retarded by southeasterly gales and high seas. The vessel is in tow of tfie tug Coringa, and is expected to arrive at Brisbane on Friday. A later message from Brisbane says the Arafura is being buffeted by a fresh cyclone. The Coringa’s steering gear has been disabled, and another tug cannot he used, owing to the severity of the weather. The steamer Peshawur has been ordered to go to the assistance of the Arafura.
