WELLINGTON TENNIS STAR TO GO SHEEP-FARMING
/ 1 E. MALFROY, the well-known Wellington tennis player, who recently took part in the Anthony Wilding Memorial Shield contest against Canterbury, has decided to go sheep-farmmg, and with this end in view has become a cadet on Mr. C. A. Cameron’s sheep station at Flat Point. The station is about 40 miles from Masterton on the East Coast of the North Island. There is an excellent court at the homestead, so doubtless Malfroy will not neglect the game which has made his name known all over the Dominion. and that should he eventually come back to the city the country life will have so improved his stamina that never again will the critics be able to say that he lacks physique. Victoria University College is anxious to secure his services for the New Zealand University championships, which are to take place at Christchurch this year, and were he included in the Wellington team Victoria College would have an excellent chance of winning the championship. However. it is at present uncertain whether he will take part in the tourney.
