PATIENTS’ LITTLE SURPRISE. —When Sir Carrick Robertson emerged from the Hospital buildings this morning he found that patients had prepared a surprise by decorating his car in honour of the knighthood conferred upon him in to-day’s honours list.
THE ARMCHAIR.—"Spats,” the cat of the steamer Middlesex, now in port, wears a perpetual look of having swallowed two mice. He is on particularly friendly terms with Gerald, the fo’castle monkey.
