FEDERATION CONFERENCE . “Many people have a wrong impression of the mission of Mte Printers’ Federation,” said the chairman, Mr. W. Cargill, at the annual conference in Auckland of the New Zealand Master Printers’ Federation. “It is not a ‘ring’ for the extortion of enormous profits. It stands for honest dealing between the printer and the customer. Printing is more than a trade. It is a craft, and often an art.” During the conference sessions, which have now ended, the Mayor, Mr. George Baildon, attended and welcomed the delegates. Officers elected for the ensuing year were: President. Mr. W. Cargill. Auckland; vice-president. Mr. H. Cnull. Wellington: council, Messrs. A. J. Benzie (Canterbu—' E. A. Blundell (Wellington). G. S. Clark (Auckland). A. Dennison (Southland), N. Mcßobie (Auckland). T. Somerville (Otago), B. E. H. Whitcombe (Canterbury), and J. F. Woodward (Wellington).
