RADIO-CABLE MERGER

DISCUSSION IN CANADA (Australia n and N.Z. Press Association) OTTAWA, Wednesday. The recommendations of the Imperial Wireless-Cable Conference have been accepted in general by the Governments concerned, including Canada. The Postmaster-General, Mr. P. J. Veniot, stated in the House of Commons to-day that provision had been made for the sale of the Pacific Cable Board’s undertaking and negotiations were in progress.

Mr. A. A. Heaps, Labour member for Winnipeg, said he proposed to bring the matter up for discussion in the present session. He moved for the production of all letters and cablegrams and all agreements entered into by Canada.
