FRONTAGES AND AREAS
TAKAPUNA COUNCIL’S RULING
NEW BY-LAW DRAFTED
Frontages and areas of sections were a§ain under discussion by the TakaPuna Borough Council last evening.
A subdivision of land that had been regularly before that body for over four years came up for final decision. After much debate the plan was approved, although many of the sections were of 50ft frontage. After this decision, the council resolved to finalise once and for all the Question of minimum areas and frontages.
The existing by-law provides for a minimum of 60ft, and a fifth of an acre, but the general feeling was that such a minimum was unduly high. The borough solicitor was instructed to draft an amended by-law to allow f ? r a minimum of 50ft frontage and a of an acre area.
