“THE FLAG LIEUTENANT”
END OF HIS ADVENTURES If "The Further Adventures of the Flag Lieutenant” is a sample of the British films coming to New Zealand, the success of the latter is a certainty. This production received enthusiast « receptions at both Dunedin and Christchurch, and will be relased in Wellington at the De Luxe Theatre on March 1. In making this film of intrigue ar*d romance in China, W. P. Kellins, the director, has produced a screen melodrama which from an artistic and entertaining standpoint ranks with any pictures yet seen on a New Zealand screen. Henry Edwards is again the breezy naval lieutenant, and this time finalises his romance with the admiral’s daughter, which was only blossoming in "The Flag Lieutenant.” Isabel Jeans, as Pauline Alexander, the beautiful international spy, displays her remarkable acting ability and delights feminine hearts with her excellent taste in clothes.
