CHILDREN’S PICNIC

The Takapuna Ex-Servicemen and the Waitemata Women's Progressive League •will hold a children's picnic at Long Bay on March 3.

The organisations have been assisted most liberally by public-spirited citizens. The North Shore Transport Company has placed three buses free at the disposal of the clubs, and the Takupunu Borough Council a lorry to convey the Takapuna Band, the members of which are also giving their services free. The Vaughan family, the owners of Cong Bay. have given permission to hold the picnic among the trees surrounding the homestead.

Final arrangements for the picnic were made at a meeting: held on Tuesday evening at which Major Wilkie presided.
