SEVEN BURNED TO DEATH

TASMANIAN TRAGEDY WHOLE FAMILY PERISHES LAUNCESTON, Tuesday. A shocking tragedy, involving the burning to death of seven members ot one family, occurred at it fire near Devon port. 82 miles north-west of Launceston. The outbreak occurred early this morning in a cottage occupied by a tamily named Archer. The building was burned down, and the charred bodies of the seven inmates were found in the ruins. The family consisted of Thomas Archer, aged 49, his wife, Olive, aged 35, their two daughters, aged 11 and nine, and three sons, aged six years, four years, and 10 months respectively.

AIL the victims were in bed except the father, who was found alongside his bed.
