RESOLUTE DRUNKARD EIGHTIETH CHAi.GE FACED “Aw, yes, HI take a spell of it,” •aid John Alexander Denehy, aged 43, who faced his 80th charge of drunkenness at the Police Court to-day. Denehy, the possessor of an amiable s ®ile, indulged in pleasant cross-talk *ith the magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said that Denehy's only weakness was drink. Apart from that there was nothing against him. “Was he celebrating his release ~n ! Prison?" asked the magistrate. replied Denehy. Do you work?" asked the magistrate. 'I m never idle,” replied Denehy. "i quite believe that,” said Mr. McKean. The magistrate then said it was not [Puch use letting accused go, because ne would be back again in a day or two. -. —l'll give it a spell,” said enehy in resolute tone. He was given a chance, being conkted and ordered to pay 2s 6d, the c °st of taxi hire.
