SIGNS OF PROSPERITY

(From Our Own Correspondent) MATAMATA, To-dav The eighteenth annual show of'«,„ Matamata A. and P. held yesterday in tine weather. The atendance was good and the exhiibt! h ell up to standard. Shorthorns were poorly represented Mr. W. J. Shaw s were the only entries in Ayrshires. Both the draught and light horse sections were better represented than usual, and 14 dogs faced the judge. The sheep pens were very poorly tilled. There were no pigs on exhibition.

Dahlias and zinnias were the strongest in numbers among the flowers, Mrs. T. Johnson showing the best dahlia. The needlework was fair and competition strong in some classes.
